BECAUSE WE BELIEVE eating in should be as good as going out, we hand-picked a team of some of Britain’s most respected working chefs to cook up a new range of irresistible dishes. We think they are our best yet.
We chose classic recipes, using authentic cooking methods and the best Waitrose ingredients, then let it all infuse to create Menu From Waitrose.
In store from 3 February, the range offers succulent, aromatic and full-flavoured reasons to stay in , including starters, light and hearty mains and sides. So the question is, what can we tempt you with this evening?
Indulge with classic Beef Bourguignon, succulent ox cheeks slow-cooked for four hours in a rich Burgundy wine and smoked bacon sauce, with button mushrooms and roasted baby onions. For a great dinner for two ,serve with fine green beans.
For an impressive starter, try these delicious Coquilles st Jacques — two scallop shells filled with scallops in a cheese and wine sauce, and topped with mashed potato..
Tuck into a bistro favourite for two — slow-cooked lamb shanks with a redcurrant and rosemary Jus, with roasted root vegetables. This delicious meal is also available as a main for one.
There’s no need to spend days cooking this traditional French recipe. Savour Duck leg Confit with red Wine Jus, melt-in-the-mouth duck legs with roasted potatoes, bacon lardons and a rich red wine jus. Serve with steamed sugar snap peas.
