RULES
The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at classicfm.com) apply to the Radio Station’s competition ("the Competition") which will run from 21st February – 17 May 2009 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Classic FM.
Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) confirms that they have understood and accepted these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and that they will be bound by them.
1. Details of the Competition
1.1 To enter the Competition an Entrant must go online to www.classicfm.com/tales and register their details. Online entry will open at 00:00 on Saturday 21 February and close at 23.59 on Sunday 17th May 2009.
1.2 Listeners are invited to upload their travel experiences to the Classic FM website. A winner will be picked randomly at the end of the competition and be notified by phone.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Entrants must be over 18.
3. Prize
3.1 Prize consists of a return British Airways operated flight in Club World from London Heathrow to Sydney, Australia for two (2) persons, ten (10) nights accommodation on a room only basis and eight (8) days car hire for two (2) adults travelling together. For car hire, the winner or his/her companion must be a minimum age of 25 years and hold a valid drivers licence. Any additional room/travel costs to be organised and funded by the prize winner. All incidental expenses are the responsibility of the prize winner
3.2 The winner will be notified by a telephone call and confirmation letter and must confirm acceptance of the prize within 21 days [by the telephone]). If the prize remains unclaimed or denied twenty-one days after confirmation, the prize will be cancelled.
3.3 Prize flights are on mainline scheduled services operated by BA with a BA prefix number. Travel on BA franchise, code share and alliance airlines is not allowed. Prize flights include taxes, fees and charges.
3.4 Domestic connections, transfers and other add-ons are not included in the prize. Any additional travel costs must be organised and funded by the winner and his/her travelling companion. All incidental expenses are the responsibility of the winner. The winner and their travelling companion must travel both the outbound and inbound journeys together.
3.5 The prize must be booked by 30 June 2009 by sending the completed booking form provided on winning the prize to gayna.fitzgerald@ba.com. All travel and accommodation is subject to availability and capacity control. Prize must be booked at least 30 days prior to departure date by following the instructions provided in the notice. Failure to book within these parameters will automatically disqualify the winner.
3.6 The prize must be completed by 31st March 2010, excludes summer half-term, bank holidays and peak travel. Subject to availability.
3.7 Confirmation of the prize will be sent to the winners at least 7 days prior to the departure dates requested.
3.8 Where available, all prize flight tickets will be issued as e-tickets, and vouchers will be supplied via e-mail.
3.9 Flights will be inventory controlled and prize flights will be subject to availability and capacity control, therefore access during school holidays and major sporting and cultural events will be restricted. BA reserves the right to limit the number of prize travel seats made available on any flight, and it is possible that seats allocated to the winner fare (Club World) class on a particular flight may be fully booked even though seats are still available for sale at a different fare or booking class in the same cabin. BA does not accept any responsibility in the event that the winner is unable to book their preferred flight(s).
3.10 Prize flights are non changeable, non transferable, non refundable (except if BA cancels your holiday). Once booked, no changes can be made to tickets. No cash or credit alternative prizes are offered. No upgrades are allowed. The Promoter reserve the right to provide substitute prizes of similar value should the specified prizes become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.
3.11 All third party terms and conditions relating to the prize apply.
3.12 The winner and their travelling companion responsible for supplying valid passports, visas and inoculations that may be required to visit the destination that is their prize. BA recommends that all passengers consider travel and medical insurance prior to commencing any flight.
3.13 Tickets for prize travel are valid for the winner accompanied by one companion. These Terms and Conditions apply to the winner and the travelling companion and references to the winner include (where the context permits) the travelling companion.
3.14 The winner’s name can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Sophie Greenberg, Global Radio, 30 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7LA.
3.15 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete entries arising from computer malfunction, viruses, bugs or telephone malfunction or other such causes. The promoters are in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web site or home page access which reproduction misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions connected with the promotion.
3.16 All travel on BA flights is subject to BA’s general conditions of carriage for passengers and baggage (see ba.com) and the notice and conditions of contract contained on each ticket or itinerary.
3.17 Prize flights cannot be used in conjunction with any BA Miles programme, any other discount, discount coupon(s) or voucher(s), promotion(s) or special offer(s) by BA or jointly with any other organisation, bonus, awards, or certificates.
3.18 BA reserves the right to provide substitute prizes of similar value should the specified prizes become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.
3.19 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend without notice the terms of this promotion and any tickets issued in the event of major catastrophe, war, earthquake or any actual or anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other circumstance beyond the promoter’s control.
3.20 Promotional materials form part of these Terms and Conditions. This promotion is governed by English law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
3.21 The Promoter of this prize draw is Global Radio, 30 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7LA
